Dietitian Services

Providence Care offers nutritional therapy as part of a disease management process. Our registered and licensed dietitian will perform a comprehensive diet analysis and in-home nutrition assessment. Once this has been completed, our registered dietitian will help to define nutrition goals and recommend diet modifications.

Dietitian at workThe registered dietitian helps prevent and treat illnesses by promoting healthy eating habits and recommending dietary modifications. For example, they might teach a patient with high blood pressure how to use less salt when preparing meals, or create a diet reduced in fat and sugar for an overweight patient.

The registered dietitian will provide nutritional screening on instruction for a patient’s diet. The professional dietitians are also trained in dietary supplements as needed. Tube-feeding patients will receive instruction and monitoring by the registered dietitian.
